Architecture draped in music at the Liceu de Barcelona
In 2015, ZERTIOR proposed to Schüco a way to connect with one of its main prescribers, the architects, in a way that is far from conventional. An emotion-based approach that combines and awakens the great arts – architecture and music – and that are interpreted through impressive creativity.
That year Ara Malikian – one of the best violinists in the world – and the stages of the Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona witnessed the first “Diálogo entre Arquitectura y Música”. Such was the success of reception that has been repeated on three more occasions, although not always with the same protagonists or in the same scenarios.
In 2016, again with Malikian, was the Real Academia de Bellas Artes of San Fernando the venue selected to host the event. And in 2017 we have returned to Barcelona (specifically to the Recinte Modernista Sant Pau), as well as traveling to Seville, in both cases with guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas, one of the best guitarists in the world.
A connection, that exists between architecture and music, which is staged through a dialogue between both disciplines, with harmony as the central thread. Outstanding figures in contemporary architecture and music -international, transgressors and trendsetters- are leading the dialogue before a highly qualified audience of architects.
